On 19th May, the Olympic Torch begins its journey from Lands End to London, 70 days of pilgrimage across the whole UK. We want to use the torch relay as a catalyst for a wave of consecutive 7:14 events in towns and cities nationwide, preparing the ground and praying for Heaven’s ‘flame’ this Olympic year.

A wave of public prayer and worship, sweeping the nation!

31st May 2012, we will gather in Church Square, St Helens, to pray for our communities, for the Church, and for our nation.

No stage, no mics, no brands, no speaker. Just the people of God in one place at one time with the healing of lands on their hearts. But what it really needs is YOU…every single one of us.

Walk of Witness 2012

Good Friday, 6th April 2012

Join with other churches from across St Helens for a short walk of witness in the Town Centre

Beginning at 12.00 pm outside St Helen’s Parish Church and lasting for approximately 30 minutes, this is an opportunity to meet together with other Christians this Easter and to pray for our town. Refreshments will be provided afterwards.

Church Unity This Christmas Time

: Praying in Victoria Square

On 1st December 2011, Christians in over 55 cities in nations around the world gathered to pray. The prayer initiative called 7:14 started as three cities last March. This December, on six continents, people gathered to seek God for their churches, communities and nations, as it says in 2 Chronicles 7:14: “If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.” (KJV)

In St Helens, over sixty Christians braved the cold and rain to meet in Victoria Square. Roman Catholics, Anglicans, Methodists, Baptists, United Reformed Church, Elim, Pentecostal, freechurch – all met to unite in prayer.

People in our communities are hurting. The Church must be united, vocal and visible. Full of compassion and love, ready to help and serve. 7:14 is about encouraging Christians to step out in unity.

THE UNiT

The UNiT is a monthly youth Church for the Wigan and St Helens area.Â It’s aimed at 11-18s (or there abouts!), and their monthly events bring together music, drama and biblical teaching to show young people how they can get connected, get equipped, and be able to go out and serve God more effectively in our local churches.

SPRING/SUMMER – Doors open 7.15pm. Events begin at 7.30pm

Friday 4th March – meeting at St Mark’s Church, Haydock
Friday 1st April – meeting at Billinge Family Church
Friday 6th May – meeting at St Helens Christian Life Centre
Friday 3rd June – meeting at St Mark’s Church, Haydock
