Getting Involved
For Individuals
Information:
SHINE sends out information on events, conferences and available resources to its members. If you would like to receive these please join our Individual mailing list. Complete the slip below and mail it Angela.
Prayer:
Join with 600 other people in praying for SHINE and the witness of the Christian Church in St Helens. Pray for the town and the issues which face us here in St Helens. You will receive a free SHINE Prayer Diary every two months. You could also join a local prayer group and meet up with other christians praying for the town together.
Every two months there is a Prayer and Worship event in one of the Churches around the borough. Come and join with others as we seek God together for our communities. Details are published in the Prayer Diary and in local Churches.
Giving:
Inevitably running SHINE costs money! You can help support the vision and work of SHINE by giving, occasionally or regularly. Please contact Angela in the Office for details of how you can give regularly.
Alternatively if you can give occasionally this all helps us fulfil the vision. We can provide envelopes to help you give. Please contact Angela in the Office.
For Churches
Affiliation:
If your Church is not already on the SHINE mailing list please fill in the slip and mail it to Angela in the Office. We would be pleased to keep you informed of SHINE events, important issues which affect the town and other issues that SHINE is involved with, as well as additional resources and information.
We will also include details of SHINE affiliated churches on our Website
Prayer:
We would love to include your church in the itinerary of bi-monthly Prayer Events. Please contact the Office if you would like to offer your Church. We would be praying mainly for issues in your area and would want to involve as many local churches and other community organisations as possible. We can help with ideas and resources.
Would you take copies of the bi-monthly Prayer Diary to distribute to your Church members? Please contact Angela using the slip below.
Giving:
Inevitably running SHINE costs money, Whilst we do not intend SHINE to be a large consumer of the churches’ financial resources, if your church is able to support the vision we would be grateful.
Regular giving helps enormously to maintain the office and the large number of mailings etc SHINE deals with. Would your Church consider a regular monthly or annual donation as part of its outward giving?
Alternatively an occasional gift will still be appreciated.
